United Kingdom (Great Britain)Visit website ↗

The UK Government held a public consultation on “how to make Ordnance Survey date free with no restrictions on reuse”. Citizens were able to respond to the consultation document via an online form until March 17 2010. There is an accompanying blog which is still operational ( link ), by the service provider carrying out the online consultation, which also gives more information on how many responses there were, who responded, and what happens afterwards. The Government’s response to the submissions forwarded (about a third of all responses came through the online form) is available online Links: The official Consultation document ( pdf ) A “Plain English” version from Simply Understand
