The UK’s Department for International Development ( DFID ) held an online consultation to allow all members of the public, to read and discuss their public strategy document, Eliminating World Poverty: Assuring our Common Future. DFID received more than 2,500 submissions from the public and other partners that were considered for a new white paper. The consultation closed in May 2009. In July 2009, their new White Paper, Building our Common Future has been published at: www.dfid.gov.uk/commonfuture
