Bürgerbeteiligungshaushalt Erfurt 2010
First on-line participatory budgeting project by the City of Erfurt (Germany). It was launched in August 2009 and executed in three phases, lasting several weeks. A visually quite strongly modified version of PhpBB was employed by the team of the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy (www.brandtschool.de), and the phases were editorially distinct cut-off points for idea-gathering (ideation), deliberation of these ideas and a formulation phase. The ideas were then passed on to the city council, for consideration within its 2010 budget planning. Some parties requested administrative advisory notes on few or all ideas gathered.
